Compaction while objects are pinned.

Hi,

I need a small confirmation.

When objects are pinned in the SOH, GC can no longer do compaction. Does it mean that in those scenarios the GC will always start using free list? If so, can someone provide me the exact steps that happen in such case or provide a link that explains this?
