PDB files in Process Monitor Trace

Hi,

I am using process monitor to trace the dlls being used for my .net application. I am able to find the entries for the dlls i am using in application but in Process Monitor i am also finding the CreateFile operations for .pdb  files along with the dlls.

Please note that in Process Monitor, all the CreateFile operation for PDB file's failing for several reasons like "Name NOT FOUND" OR "Path Not Found" etc..

But i am curious that why all these PDB file entries are there even if i am using release version for all the dlls?

Any pointers here will help.
